Introduction Imagine you were watching the weather forecast, and they said a blizzard will hit your town in the next 24 hours. Then you start panicking. Hold your horses, this book will tell you about blizzards.
What are Blizzards?
Now you’re probably wondering, what are blizzards? Blizzards are just powerful winds blowing snow and they blow a lot of snow. The snow can pile up as tall as a person! Blizzards are also known as snow storms and winter storms. Blizzards can cause temperatures to drop to 20 degrees Fahrenheit (If they’re severe 10 degrees Fahrenheit or below). This storm is one of the natural disasters on earth, because if they’re severe they can sometimes cause arctic cyclones. Blizzards mostly occur in the northern part of the U.S.A because it’s farther from the equator, the farther the place is from the equator the colder it is. The closer the place is to the equator, the warmer it is. They also can form in Canada, Alaska and other cold places as well.
